In 1930-1932 he studied at the London School of Economics, after which he became Professor of Political Science and Dean of the Law School at Central University in Nanjing. In 1942 and 1943 he was elected to the Senate in the Republic of China. He passed away in 1945 and was posthumously commended by the Nationalist government.
